LUCAS
Patrick Steven Fessler, 60, passed away on January 20, 2022, at his home in Lucas, KS. He was born July 26, 1961, in Geneva, NE to Duane Fessler and Judith Souba Fessler.
Patrick graduated from Adams Central High School in Hastings, NE in 1979. In high school, he enjoyed playing basketball and track and sang tenor in the Adams Central High School choir. He worked for Great Plains, Land Pride Division at the Lucas plant for 14 years as a computer controller.
Patrick was an avid collector of anything to do with cars: antique model cars, car magazines, and car memorabilia. He loved going to car shows and admiring the old beauties being brought back to life. He continuously tried to perfect his own 1934 Ford sedan, a car he had owned since high school. He was a member of the Lincoln County V/8–V/Twins Custom Car & Motorcycle Club.
Although Patrick had not farmed since his younger years, he truly loved working the ground and bringing in the harvest. In more recent years, he would take time off from his regular job, to help his cousins bring in that fall harvest off the family farm.
Patrick is survived by his father Duane Fessler, Washburn, MO; mother Judith Fessler, Kearney, NE; brother Paul Fessler (Sandy), Fort Worth, TX and nieces Aubrey and Nicole; sister Julie Oldfather (Bill), Kearney, NE and nephew Peter; Judy Larsen; Leland, Kailey and Lucas Larsen; Lauren, Mike and Paxton Rosales, aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Dewey and Lola Fessler, and Lester and Arlene Souba.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
