Pre-Arrangements

Preplanning allows people to make decisions about their own, or a loved one's, final funeral arrangements before the need arises. Our staff can sit down with you and record all the vital information needed to complete paperwork and obituaries. Pallbearers, musicians, and clergy can be named, songs and scriptures noted and merchandise (casket, outer burial container, urn, urn vault, etc) selected. We can record the details about the type of service you desire. This lessens the burden on a family when the time does come and allows you to express your own wishes.

Prearrangements can be funded at the time they are made. This is done most often with a C.D. (Certificate of Deposit) at the individual's bank and a Trust Agreement between the individual and the funeral home. It can also be accomplished with the assignment of insurance proceeds or enrollment in funeral insurance (a form of life insurance). Participating in our Multi-option Guarantee program, allows the purchaser to control how much and how long the preplanning is guaranteed.

Kansas SRS (now called the Department of Children and Families) allows individuals to prefund their funeral arrangements in the "spend down" process when they are preparing to receive assistance.
