Willis C. Schultz

ELLSWORTH

  Willis C. Schultz, 87, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home in Ellsworth, KS. He was born May 28, 1937 in Ellsworth to Gerhardt and Lucina (Schwerdtfeger) Schultz. Willis was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth where he married Fern Nienke on June 14, 1959. Willis was a longtime member of the Ellsworth Fire Department and Immanuel Lutheran Church. He operated the feed mill at Ellsworth Coop and was also the office manager.

  Willis is survived by his wife Fern of Ellsworth; sons, Roger Schultz of Ellsworth and Rob Schultz (Keith Haskamp) of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Melissa Vongphakdy (Long) and Andy Schultz (Lynsey); great grandchildren, Jazlynn and Owen Schultz and Vincent and Donovan Vongphakdy; brother Donald Schultz (Pat) of Topeka, KS; and sister Gloria Krob of Fort Collins, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant great grandson Chaunchai; sisters, Faye Herlan and Hazel Bruning; and daughter-in-law Peggy Schultz.

  Visistation: 4-8 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth with burial following at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
