Mary Lynne (Sipes) Munoz

KANOPOLIS

  Mary Lynne Munoz, 62, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at her home in Kanopolis, KS. She was born July 21, 1963 in Elkhart, KS to Charles and Gloria (Webb) Sipes. Mary spent years working at Citizen’s State Bank and then Golden Plains Credit Union first as a teller then retiring as a loan officer. She married Matt Munoz in Kanopolis in 2017.

  Mary is survived by her husband Matt of Kanopolis; sons, Anthony Rathbun (Jamie) of Ellsworth, KS and Austin Rathbun (Stephanie) of Lorraine, KS; daughter Jamie Vague (Quintin) of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Wyatt, Kate, Wes, Warren, and Kara; step daughter Mollie Munoz of Salina, KS; step son Lucas Munoz of Salina; step grandchildren, Paisynn and Landin; and brothers, Gerald Sipes of Ellsworth County and Steve Sipes (Kathy) of Stafford, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sipes and Gloria Cassingham.

  Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Parsons Funeral Home of Ellsworth with family present to greet visitors.

  Memorial service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2026 at Parsons Funeral Home with inurnment following at Kanopolis Cemetery.
