BROOKVILLE
Mable Ruth Bettenbrock, 97, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Lincoln. She was born September 5, 1925, on the family farm near Falun, KS in Saline County to Harry and Ruth (Hopp) Gile. She married Jack Delbert Bettenbrock in Salina on October 31, 1964 and was a resident of Brookville for over 50 years.
Mable was a dedicated farm wife. She also worked for many years at the Brookville Hotel and on the Saline County Election Board. She was a member of the Brookville United Methodist Church and the church’s United Methodist Women group.
Mable is survived by her daughter Debbie Breneman (Monty) of Lincoln; grandsons, Tyler Breneman of Lindsborg and Kyle Breneman of Lincoln; granddaughter Mikayla Ruth Breneman of Lincoln; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; sister Marlene Chance; brothers, Harrison, Verlyn, Edward, and Eugene Gile; and nephews, Alan Chance and Mike Bettenbrock.
Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with family present 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Parsons Funeral Home with burial following in the Ellsworth Cemetery.
