Linda L. (Singer) Janssen

  Linda L. Janssen, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Ellsworth, KS. She was born September 23, 1947 in Garnett, KS to Paul and Helen (Howery) Singer. Linda grew up in Parker, KS and then attended and graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in education. She was a school teacher for much of her life, teaching in Tonganoxie, KS for a year and then in Geneseo, KS and Ellsworth, KS for many years. She married Jeffrey Janssen in Parker on June 9, 1973. Linda was a member of the Ellsworth Methodist Church and the church’s Methodist Women group, the Ladies Thanksgiving Club in Geneseo, and the Smoky Hill Cattlewomen.

  Linda is survived by her husband Jeffrey of Geneseo; daughters, Abby Wimer, Sara Bohl (Scott), and Trisha Janssen all of Geneseo; grandchildren, Halle, Maggie, Cagney, and Audrey Bohl; and brother Charles Singer (Vickie) of Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ronald Singer; and son-in-law Matthew Wimer.

  Visitation: 2-7 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2026 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth with family present to greet visitors 5-7 p.m.

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Ellsworth Methodist Church with burial following at the Geneseo Cemetery.
