LaVerna A. (Panzer) Stroede

KANOPOLIS

  LaVerna Stroede passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 in Belleville, KS at the age of 102. She was born to Frank Panzer and Rosalie (Bohl) Panzer on April 17, 1922 in Ellsworth, KS. She married William Stroede on January 18, 1945. She was a homemaker who loved to bake and share with her family, especially her grandchildren who loved her sugar doughnuts and cookies. She put out a big garden and canned the vegetables, sharing them with her family. LaVerna was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kanopolis and Ellsworth VFW Auxiliary.

  LaVerna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven sisters, two brothers, a son-in-law and a grandson. She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Richardson and late husband Gary Richardson of Belleville, Linda Brenn and husband William of Deshler, NE, and Peggy Kempke and husband Danny of Kanopolis, KS; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Parsons Funeral Home of Ellsworth with burial following at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery. One hour of visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home.
