ELLSWORTH
Keith A. Vehring, 75, of Ellsworth, KS, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was born on August 4, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, to Robert and Maudie (Kendrick) Vehring. On January 19, 1974, he married his beloved wife, Bobbie Halverson, in Milwaukee.
Keith was a hardworking and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His passion for sports was evident in his love for playing and watching various games. An avid fan of NASCAR, he spent countless weekends cheering for his favorite drivers. Keith was also a lifelong supporter of the Green Bay Packers, never missing a game. His hobbies included woodworking and nurturing his yard.
A committed member of the Assemblies of God Church, Keith's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He dedicated many hours to studying the Bible and, alongside Bobbie, felt called to help those in need by supporting various charities. He was particularly proud of his involvement with Compassion International, helping provide opportunities for children worldwide and embodying his belief in the power of love and support.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Vehring; daughters, Kile Eikel (Clint) of Lenexa, KS, Jennifer Stockton of Overland Park, KS, and Kristin Ward (Joseph) of Ellsworth; grandchildren Trevor Stockton, Adam Ward (Kelsey), and Maddison Ward; and great-grandchildren Weston and Ryker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Vehring.
