BROOKVILLE

Harry Dean Black, 75 years, 11 months, and 18 days, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Salina, KS. He was born July 23, 1947 in Salina to Harry and Lou Mary (Woolsey) Black. Dean was a farmer and rancher, a truck driver, and worked for over 30 years for the Ellsworth County Highway Department before retirement.

Dean is survived by his nephews, Eric Black (Susan) of Brookville and Neal Black of Beverly; sister-in-law, Sheryl Black of Brookville; great nieces and nephews, Karla Cooper, Kaytlen Menke (Gaige), Carl Cooper (Brooke), Harry Black, Brittney Black, Leigha Vines, Dawson Gaskins, Kaile Black, Chase Young, and Brayson Young; and 13 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don H. Black; nephew, Jared Black; and great niece, Sydnie Norton.

A celebration of life gathering will take place from 2:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 825 28th Rd, Brookville, KS 67425.
