KANOPOLIS
Estella Jean Vessey, 76, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, in McPherson, KS. She was born November 23, 1948, in Salina, KS to Dale and Frances “Audrey” (Neel) Burch. Estella married Glenn R. Vessey, Jr. in Seymour, MO on December 17, 1966. She was a homemaker and longtime caregiver for her brother-in-law Edward Vessey. Estella was a member of the Smoky Hill Baptist Church in Ellsworth.
Estella is survived by her husband Glenn Vessey, Jr.; daughter Roxann Ghist of Kanopolis; sons, Glenn “Rae” Vessey, III (Cerenia) of Holyrood, KS and David B. Vessey (Sherry) of Salina; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and siblings, Leroy Burch (Glenda) of Amarillo, TX, Marie Morris (Tim) of Salina, Roger Burch (Lorraine) of Salina, and Neal Pratt (Karen) of Salina. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant granddaughter Ashley Vessey.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Kanopolis Cemetery.
