Caroline P. (Shaw) Nowlin

KANOPOLIS

  Caroline Patricia Nowlin, 78, passed away peacefully in Marquette, KS on January 26, 2026. She was born in Ellsworth, KS to Geroge and Joan Shaw on February 14, 1947. Caroline, a devoted mother and lifelong nurse, known for her kind heart and selfless spirit, spent her life in service to others, providing comfort and care to her patients and her family alike. Caroline’s nurturing nature extended to her love for gardening and her pets, but her greatest joy was her family. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother.

  Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Neal Nowlin; and her siblings, Barbie, Kevin, and Warren. Her memory is carried on by her first husband Duane Borman; their three children, Lance (Rachel) Borman, Lisa (Greg) Maples, and Luke Borman; stepdaughters, Courtney Nowlin and Kimberly Doty; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and loving family, Val Shaw, Nancy Cumberland and Lorna Atkins. Caroline will be remembered for her fun loving spirit, quiet strength, and compassion she shared with the world.

  A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
