Bill J. Hammill

STOCKTON, MO

  Bill Hammill, 91, passed away January 12, 2021 at his home in Stockton, MO. He was born December 8, 1929 in Little River, KS to Charles and Regina (Schmidt) Hammill.

  Bill served his county in the United States Army. While living in Great Bend, he worked in construction, installing siding. After retirement, he moved to Stockton and started his own cow/calf operation which he continued for many years.

  Bill is survived by his sisters, Helen Bybee of Stockton and Nadine Bishop of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ione (Hopp) Hammill who passed in 1981; second wife, Alberta (Barnes) Hammill who passed in 2003; brother, Keith Hammill; and sisters, Ione Miller and Gladys Freeman.

  Graveside funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2021 at Ellsworth Cemetery.
